Paul Finebaum Admits He Wants Oklahoma QB Jalen Hurts To Win The Heisman Trophy
© Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports
I think it's a little early to be talking about the Heisman Trophy, but ESPN SEC analyst Paul Finebaum seems to disagree. He's already out here telling everyone who he wants to win, per 247Sports...
quote:

“Jalen Hurts has been spectacular. Maybe there’s a little bit of my heart wanting him to win because of what he’s been through and his resiliency. He’s just shown that he deserves it and I think he’s going to be in New York.”

“Everyone loves Jalen Hurts,” Finebaum said. “He may very well win the Heisman Trophy, but he will not be the No. 1 pick in the draft. Jalen Hurts has not quite gotten there yet. He has surprised a lot of people with his resilience, but it would be one of the biggest upsets ever if he went from nowhere to No. 1 in a short period of time.”

“his resilience.” People are acting like he beat cancer or something. He wasn’t the starter in a game throwing a ball. boohoo

Thank you. Guy lost his job to someone else and was immediately given the same position at a blue chip University. The struggle.

No shite! 10 years ago he would have just had to ride the pine and been screwed his senior year. He should be thankful he is still relevant.

Nothing says Housman like big wins over Houston and S Dakota. If he has a big game against the force that is UCLA he can’t lose.

I am alright with Hurts winning the Heisman, if he stays consistent with the numbers he is putting up. It would have to include a dominant performance over Texas, as well. Big F U, Saban, if he could win a championship at Oklahoma. Better if it was against Alabama.

Finebaum is an idiot. Burrow is a classic example of resilience. He rode the pine behind really good QBs at Ohio State and transferred into an under-performing offense and look what has happened. Oklahoma can make a good QB out of a lot of guys in D1.

No you don’t support LSU. You don’t know the quarterback’s name lol. Something tells me you’d love Tua sitting on your face. #rolledtide
