Reopening recruitment for a shot at an NIL bidding war

Welcome to the new world of college recruiting. The most heavily recruited athletes will not commit until they've sucked every NIL dollar from every school they possibly can. And, by NIL dollar, I mean now-legal bribe and payoff for them and every possible family member. Before, they always ran the risk of being caught and would just go with the highest undee-the-table bidder. No need for that now.

Some guy should tell his fiancé that he is going to start dating again (to see what options are open) and tell and her family/friends to “Respect my decision” and see how that goes.

This is already 'NOT NEWS' as the $$$$ RULE. How can this not change the game #SAD

What’s all this “Respect my decision” nonsense? I’ll be the judge of what I respect and don’t respect.

usually a cry to "respect my decision" comes after doing something most people don't respect. just do it bro and ignore who respects it and who doesn't.

Anyone that believes the highest bidder doesn't win for the top guys is naive. It's all about the size of the bag of cash handed out. Nobody does it better than Bama.

Now that it's "legal", Bama won't be the top dog as it pertains to NIL's.

Perhaps you can explain what the "share the wealth" bullshite is. You seem to be an expert on Ohio State.

Bet we see a big drop-off in performance from skools like App State. Being an athlete of Nowhere U in the middle of the mountains will not reap the $$$ benefits.

Do you have any idea how much money is in Boone/Blowing Rock? Not the best example.

These teenagers have no idea what respek is, if they only knew how many people don't give a rats arse on where they go.

NIL has given players more “value” and given them more “potential” at other landing spots. Free market at work. No longer amateur sport

Yeah it's getting bad for sure for cfb as we all grew up loving it. Sad thing is it was ruined by people who don't care about about it the way any of us do. Heck the osu 5 star commit out of Southlake tx isn't playing his sr yr so he can enroll day and cash in on his project 7 figures. It's gonna be bad. Football players on campus were somewhat normal students, but now they won't be.

Don't know anything about the guy, but I truly despise anyone who uses the "my talents" phrasing.
user avatar

I'm nearly certain that recruits are using the "respect my decision" phrase just to trigger people who are triggered by it.

So I'm wondering what decision does he want us to respect??? The first one, second, third, etc?
