Very sad and will happen to more linemen. Let's face it 6'4" 325lbs is highly obese even in a young athlete. The linemen are going to be at the biggest risk. I pray for her and her son.

Just cancel the season then. Just know what that means: 1) No scholarship for 2020-2021 2) Lose this year of eligibility 3) No guarantee of a roster spot or scholly next year. Will have to try out to see if former player makes the team Because no football means no money for football players or their scholarships.

Sometimes people post things because they're experiential what we call conflict. Everyone posting these kinds of things knows everything in your condescending list. They know it better than you, because they're the ones who can actually lose those things. People like this mother, who's had a horrible first hand experience, have every right to ask people to question priorities. Don't assume that athletes and their families aren't educated.
