Michigan is working on a lifetime contract for head coach Jim Harbaugh.....
Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports
According to former Notre Dame QB and current Fox Sports college football analyst Brady Quinn, Michigan is working on a lifetime contract for head coach Jim Harbaugh. Really?...
quote:

“I talked to someone who’s kind of an insider within that program, and we had a long, drawn out conversation,” Quinn said on FOX Sports Radio, according to Mike Sullivan. “What he told me was that they’re working on a lifetime contract. I swear to you, that was his words. I kind of pressed him on it and said ‘Really?! A lifetime deal? What would that even look like?’ He couldn’t give me the particulars, but he said that’s one of the things they are talking about. That’s how confident, that’s how good they feel about Jim Harbaugh and how glad they are to have him there. So maybe that’s something Harbaugh wants.”

There will be two contracts in that case. One with Harbaugh and the other with a hitman who must be ready to go if receives an invite for a sleepover.

Considering "lifetime" contracts aren't possible, I call bullshite. Now, they can make it for 30 years, but "lifetime" is not legally binding in these kinds of contracts.

It will doom Michigan for the next 30 years. If coaches have $10m buyouts for 3 yrs or so left on a contract, what's it going to be for a lifetime contract - $100m? Congrats Vols, we've found a dumber administration than UT's.

A lifetime of coming up short? Seems like an odd choice.
