While on Monday's McElroy and Cubelic In the Morning, ESPN's Paul Finebaum declared that the ACC has become "diminished" and that they're "significantly behind everyone that matters." Damn...
quote:

“I put very little weight into any of it because the ACC has become such a diminished conference,” Finebaum said, via Saturday Down South. “I say that because it wasn’t that long ago when they were nipping, pretty far back, but they were still nipping at the heels of the SEC and the Big Ten, especially because of Clemson. Now it’s been marginalized. It’s been marginalized for a lot of reasons, but the biggest is their television contract, which has a long way to go, I think it has another 10 years before it opens back up again, is about to put them significantly behind everyone that matters.”

Another obvious take that everybody already knows. I'm still baffled that this guy has a career

The Pac 12 has also fallen behind. Heck if you look at the past 15 years, the ACC has won a title 3 times (FSU in 2013, Clemson 2016 & 2018). With FSU in the dumps and Clemson in questionable space, the ACC are likely in big trouble, but the Pac 12 has been in worse shape. And with the Big 12 losing OU and Texas, they are in some questionable territory moving forward as well.
