Agree that Texas is #1. Reason why they had to settle for choice #7 Charlie Strong when Mack Brown was forced out.

Odd that UF isn't mentioned.

Before 2010 maybe. Now it’s which schools have the most money and resources. SEC tag is huge. USC doesn’t have that. Texas has internal problems. From the boosters to the athletic department.

Programs like TX and Bama come with massive pressure and external influence. I like programs like USC, LSU, and UGA. Fertile recruiting grounds without all of the BS.

LSU is debatably THE best job in America and certainly a top 5. There’s a reason we’re the only program that has three nattys with the last three coaches.

Texas and USC don't seem like good jobs at all. Georgia and Ohio State are fine. It's really hard to say about Alabama; it was a horrible job before Saban for the same reason Texas is a bad job now (bad management), and it won't be clear until Saban is gone whether he permanently cured Alabama of those issues, or if they merely receded to the background amidst an unprecedented run of success.

Bama won with Bear and Saban. Arguably two best ever. Program has been average or below when anyone else was at helm. It’s the two coaches, nothing special about Bama otherwise.

If Texas was a great job, they would not have the turnover.

When was the last time Texas or Georgia won a championship? I’ll wait.

no way the short horns down is a dream job. Too many whiners in that program.

Texas is always at the top, but we often wonder why they suck if such an awesome job...boosters have ruined it USC, not sure anymore LSU is top 8 for sure

Klatt is a genius. He said Gus Malzhan was going to end Saban's career and Auburn would win multiple NC's.

Joel Klatt has always been one of the most severely mentally deficient football analysts out there. No one give a shite what that retard says. I mean, how can LSU not be considered a top program since the last three head coaches all in a row have won Natty's, all within five years?

Joel Klatt is among the dumbest football “analysts” in the history of football. He is almost always wrong

I stopped reading when I saw it was from Joel Klatt.

I may agree with it, if it was still last century.

It’s odd that LSU isn’t on there and I’m not saying this as an LSU fan. I say it based on the number of high ranking recruits that a coach can get right in his backyard and then you have Texas and Florida that they consistently pull from.

My argument is 3 different coaches in a row have won an NC. One barely able to pass high school English. What job could be better?

Very true @Teddy. You’re looking at the 2nd most National Championships in the last 20 or so years.

1) Texas is bad because of immense influence influence that boosters have the program. 2) USC has zero support. Their facilities suck, their have a marginal fan base who showed for 3 years in the mid 2000s and a coach is going to pay over half his income in state and federal taxes there.

Georgia? Texas? Really?

Texas too high - overrated HS talent, hasn't won anything in years, soft mentality, meddling GOB network. USC also too high - soft mentality, fair weather fan support, no money, not in SEC.
