Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports
Analyst Desmond Howard is catching some heat for this comment on ESPN's GameDay today...

He then apologized...

“I’m a big Wayne Brady fan. I made a comment that was supposed to be taken as a joke. If I offended anybody, I apologize,” Howard said.

Unfortunately, u are right. Had herbie said it he would have been removed immediately. Desmond has nothing to worry about. He could have not apologized and been fine. The double standard sux but it's real.

He's black. He has nothing to worry about. Now, if Kirk Herbstreit had said it.....

Apologizing for saying that is sad. But the money is good so I don’t blame him
