Just read his whole response. Yes, Clemson has had a great 10 year run, but the past couple of years haven’t been great by comparison. If fans aren’t turning up at the ACC Championship, it’s because that conference has largely been a disappointment for a decade or more. It’s Clemson and everyone else.

The second part to this is the mentality of the typical fans of perennial national title contenders: If they don’t make the CFP, they don’t care. It’s a sucky mindset, but that’s where things are now. Anything outside of the CFP is basically the NIT and players leaving don’t want to play, and all but the die hard fans don’t care.
