"Mix classic uniforms with Jumpman flavor and the results are legendary," Crawford wrote. "The Wolverines' recent move to the Nike subsidiary brand was a blockbuster deal that intertwined one of college football's most iconic uniform templates with the leading streetwear supplier in athletics. The results were jaw-dropping to say the least, adding flare to an already majestic appearance."

Hence iconic. Would you prefer Oregon who has a new uni/helmet every game? Probably. 12 year old.

I still don’t get why Oklahoma is always in the top 10 on these…

all they did was pick big programs that have had success over many decades. Has nothing to do with the actual uniforms.

It seems they included alternate uni combos in the evaluation, in which case the Ole Miss powder blues should be on the list ahead of a lot of hose B1G jokes.

So iconic that they introduced blue pants last year to go them.

From the article:

"Royalty. That's the word that always comes to mind when LSU's recognizable purple and gold graces the field. For the most part, we only get to see LSU's preferred look on gamedays (white and gold), but during prime-time games in Death Valley, the Tigers do bring out their purple jerseys, completing the SEC's best look on gameday. The Tigers' Nike template remains unchanged and the wide vertical shoulder stripes are defining details. LSU's rare helmet alternate option worn a few years ago was incredible — a purple color-change paint with a stylized decal. The rare white helmet is also visually-pleasing."

If you're talking "iconic" LSU has got to be in there. Only team with white home uniforms. No other team even closely resembles our looks. Ohio St for the looks and the buckeye leaf tradition. Michigan, Maize and Blue, is iconic, it's ancient. Notre Dame, love em or hate em, the Golden Domers with just the numbered jerseys are historic. Texas, the burnt orange has been a national staple of college football even though they've stunk the past decade. I know we're supposed to consider teams like Bama and Penn St iconic, but I'm not of the older generation so it doesn't feel me with CFB tradition like it does them. I've always liked UGA's look, but I think it's kinda hard to consider it top 10 iconic. USC should be way higher. That's another staple look in CFB history.

Penn State, UCLA, Washington and Auburn are better than most of these

I do agree that LSU belongs in the top 10 but Georgia's red and black has always popped. I'd have put them in the top 3.

I am not a Penn State fan, but I think they should be # 1, followed by Michigan. Texas should not be in the Top 10.

I’m a big LSU fan and personally I don’t think LSU, Texas, OU or Georgia really belong there. Hard to say who to replace them with tho.

Wearing white at home definitely earns LSU a spot. Are there even any other major teams in CFB that do that?

It doesn't matter. This is just some a-hole's opinion on a day where he had nothing else to write aboot. I guess he got paid.
