SF: What is the current status of the talks about a potential sitcom based on your life?

PF: The conversations are getting very serious. There is a major Hollywood production company involved and already several writers are working on the script to be pitched to the major networks soon.

The biggest news is a well-known actor is extremely interested in playing the lead. We did a call recently and it was fairly bizarre having a successful Hollywood actor asking me about me. He is considerably younger, so the idea is to set the sitcom at an early point in my career.

SF: Who’s the actor?

PF: I am proud to announce that Matt Damon will be playing me.

Just kidding. Until we get to the next phase, the producers have strongly encouraged me not to reveal the name.

Disney/ABC/ESPN have this little bitch in their hip pocket. He's a total sellout. Dude said just the other day that college football would probably move to the Spring. Why? MLB starts on 7/23, but we can't have college football in the Fall? Finebaum will say whatever his corporate overlords tell him to say.

They already tried this once with a sitcom based on Kornheiser and Wilbon. The two characters were played by Jason Alexander (post-Seinfeld) and Malcolm Jamal-Warner. As I recall, it was pretty close to unwatchable, and a miserable flop.

This show is going to be brutal and embarrassing as hell to Bama and maybe some AU fans but what the hell. Finebaum earned it he was just a Birmingham sports writer that saw two ncaa football fan bases that really demonically hated each other and he made himself famous and well off by trolling the hell out of both of us. I salute the bastard.
