they're paying him $30 million. He damn well needs to be ready to play. He's just pouting like a child. I hope the Sixers keep him suspended and when he continues to lose $365k per game, he'll suddenly find his mental strength. He's an absolute embarrassment.

Simmons’ toughness would have made him a splendid WWI trench warfare soldier.

Simone Biles started this shite. Let’s see if the nation rallies around Ben.

I have no problem with Biles, since if she is not totally on point mentally, she can really hurt herself and, in doing so, her team. Her pulling out of the team competition actually helped the US team. The margin for error in gymnastics is so slim. Ben's got no excuse.

Hey guys, tell your bosses you are not mentally ready to work. See how that goes.

Sixers should just be like, "ok, well you're not getting a dime until you are." Should work quickly.

Yea, gave it a shot and did workout as planned in my head. Anyone have a lead on a new gig. I now available. Really interested in something with great pay, no responsibility or accountability and about 45 vacation days a year.

Sometimes when you aren't mentally ready for work, you call in and take a day off. Works for a lot of people. It's usually just a day, though.

What a weak pathetic society we have become.

Then his contract needs to be voided. He’s paid to play basketball. The only time a team should be on the hook to pay a player that’s not playing is when the player has sustained an injury while working/playing.

Keep giving guaranteed contracts. They are all worth it. Every penny.

All of professional sports players and coaches as well as college coaches get contracts and massive money regardless of performance levels. One of the biggest scams over the past generation that has made sports all about greed and self.

If he's not mentally ready, he's not mentally ready. Kind of like Simone Biles.
