Our class will be small but loaded.

God I would love Marlon Humphrey. Under no illusions, though.

As a wildcard I'll add: Orlando Brown.

SC recruiting has never been strong but I think our biggest failure is selling another elite DE on playing w/ Clowney. So many strong ones around us this year and last and we seem to be in on none of them ("in" w/ Hand, I guess, but no one is considering us a serious player).

Is a bit early for most but LSU's class is pretty predictable at this point aside from about 4-5 spots

QB Mason Rudolph 3* should be 4
RB Leonard Fournette 5*
RB Darrell Williams 4*
WR Devante Noil 5*
WR Trey Quinn 4* could be a 5
WR Tony Upchurch 3*
WR Malachi Dupre 4* will be a 5
TE Jacorey Washington 4*
TE Anthony Jones 3*
OL Cameron Robinson 5* kind of iffy
OL Garrett Brumfield 4*
OL Will Clapp 4*
DE Deondre Clark 4*
DE Davon Godchaux 4*
DL Gerald Willis 4* could be a 5
DL Garrald Mcdowell 4*
LB Kenny Young 4*
LB Donnie Alexander 4*
LB Sharieef Rhaheed 3* I think he doesn't end up in our class. Probably an agreed parting of ways
CB Tony Brown 5*
CB Chris Hardeman 4*
S Laurence Jones 4*
DB Ed Paris 5*
Ath Devin Voorhies 4*
Ath Kameron Mcknight 4*

Other major contenders
WR D'haquille Williams-we'll make room if he keeps straight
WR Cameron Sims-if he blows up camp
WR Keenan Brown-if he kills camp
DE-Justin Thornton-if he grades out in school
DT Johnny Dwight-if he checks out in evals
LB-Clifton Garrett-dependent on his current 3 day visit
CB-Jermaine Roberts-camp
DB-Mattrell Mcgraw-camp
Ath Davion Hall-if we press and get him on campus

Terry Googer **** commitment should come any day now. Alshon clone?

I'd consider him more of a Sterling Sharpe clone than an Alshon Jeffery clone IMHO.

I like the rest of your list, but I still believe we have a serious shot at Hand with Deke working-him IF we have a bang-up big-time season. Word is Clowney and he are all buddied-up via texts.

If you are betting him on Poona Ford you're gonna lose. Ford is a Gamecock provided he qualifies.

Ford named Tennessee his leader today fwiw.

That said, I would be surprised if we landed him.

On Wednesday, Scout learned that the Gamecocks have dropped out of his top three. "Ohio State,Tennessee, and Louisville are on top now," Ford said. Ford has talked about committing this summer, but that is not a definite.

Dumbest list I've ever seen. I'm still waiting on a Dawg fan to take me up on my ban bet about Watson. Zero chance he goes to UGA.

By the end of summer UGA will be pursuing 2015 QB options.

What was that?

Chad Simmons? @ChadSimmons_

*PIC: 4-star DT Poona Ford of Hilton Head, SC. Really liking #Tennessee right now. #Vols

Lattimore certainly wasn't a lock.

Yes he was. We all knew it down here. Y'all only thought you had a chance because Steven Davis played along so that we could have some fun.

Drew Barker **** 75%

South Carolina: "They came by last week and I think Coach Mangus is coming by tomorrow. I feel comfortable with Coach Spurrier and they've a prominent program with recent success. I really like the situation they have quarterback-wise going forward."

Kentucky: "They came in late with a new staff but they made up for it in a hurry by getting me down there. The coaches were at my school the second day after they got the job. They're done everything they can do to make sure I'm wearing the blue and white. There are a lot of things that go with that in this state, it can set you up with job opportunities in the future for life after football. On the field I like the offense and Coach Brown and all the coaches are cool and they're getting some good recruits right now."

Tennessee: "They're kind of different because I'm really familiar with that staff because they were recruiting me at Cincinnati. I was familiar with Coach Jones and Coach Elder because they've been on me for a long time. They have the best facilities I've seen. They're bringing in big-time recruits. Todd Kelly and Jalen Hurd, they've all been on me pretty hard to go there."

Barker took visits to Tennessee and Kentucky last month and said he had seen all he needed to after those trips.

JMO but it sounds like this kid is going to UK, gonna be a big get for them if he does pull the trigger
