MLB Has Made Marijuana Legal
Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports
The MLB has lifted its ban on marijuana for minor leaguers, removing the drug from its prohibited substance list...
quote:

As part of the MLB's efforts to crack down on opioid use in and around its league ... it has agreed to stop testing minor leaguers for weed, The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal reports.

Of course, the MLB already didn't test its big leaguers for marijuana ... but the rule change for everyone else is a big deal for the sport.

Previously, minor league players faced a 25-game suspension for a first positive weed test, a 50-game suspension for a second test, a 100-game suspension for a third and a ban for LIFE for a fourth.

Guess the Angels pitcher who OD’d finally got them thinking. NFL should be next considering they seem sooooo interested in player safety.

for most people, cannabis is not a performance enhancing drug. I know not all stoners are like that, but the fact remains. Remember the snow boarding American Olympic Gold Medalist who had his medal taken away for testing positive for cannabis after the event? Reason? Performance enhancing drugs forbidden by IOC.

If smoking weed keeps people out of pill bottles then it should be allowed. Opiates are much worse for short and long term health than cannabis. Only the boomers, brainwashed with reefer madness propaganda for 70 years, would believe otherwise.
