COLUMBIA, Mo. – Due to forecasted extreme heat in Columbia, and after consultation with the National Weather Service and our public safety partners, Mizzou Athletics has adjusted the start time for Saturday's home football game against Louisiana. The sold-out game will now kick off at noon CT at Memorial Stadium.

"Nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of our student-athletes and the game-day experience for our fans," Mizzou Director of Athletics Laird Veatch said. "We are incredibly grateful to our fans for their understanding and flexibility as we make this adjustment. With extreme heat in the forecast, especially later in the afternoon, we believe it's necessary to move kickoff earlier in the day to ensure the safest and most enjoyable experience possible for everyone who will be part of Saturday's sold-out game at Memorial Stadium."

I’m not sure how kicking off at 12 pm is any better.
