LSU senior running back Nick Brossette had a great start in the East-West Shrine game Saturday, catching a 25-yard touchdown pass from Boise State quarterback Brett Rypien to put the West Team up 7-0 early in the 1st quarter.

Nick is underrated. He came through many times in '19 with hardnosed runs. And 1000 yards ain't bad in any league - particularly in the SEC West. AND, with one of the toughest SOS in the country.

cc Steve Ensminger Why can't LSU run plays like this?

Notice the action of the two WR's running crossing routes to create just enough traffic that the LB can't impede or cover Brossette's route? Not rocket science Steve.

Thinking 4-5th round based on his production and former LSU backs production in the NFL. What TRant thinks?

I'm thinking that he'll go the UDFA route but will emerge playing somewhere because of his talent, skills and attitude.

Don’t agree with the UDFA argument. Dude had over a grand with an avg LSU offensive line and like someone already mentioned he has great hands and will be a mismatch out of the backfield for teams

UDFA, but will land somewhere.

Brossette has better hands than 90% of our receivers.

That was a compliment.

The same play LSU used with him all year . Nobody utilizes our skill players like the high-powered, innovative LSU offense.

Honestly cannot remember the last time an LSU RB caught a pass that was >10 yards.

Maybe watch som LF or Guice footage. How long have you been an LSU fan 3 weeks????

Did you ignore the ">10 yards" part. I'm not talking about swing passes out of the backfield. I'm talking about passes downfield like the one we saw in the video. List every single LF or Guice catch like that that you can remember off the top of your head.
