The problem with the offense last season was inexperience. We had a brand new transfer QB who didn't have time to gel with the team, the receivers were all green, the running backs were very average and also green, and the offensive line just plain arse sucked. No excuses this year. As Joe Burrow has now had the time to gel with the team. The receiving corp is far more experienced, two stud running backs join the team in the fall. So the running attack should steadily improve throughout the season as those running back gain more experience and more confidence, and the offensive line should be significantly improved this season, especially if Dare Rosenthal and Cameron Wire can develop. Hence, all aspects of the offense should be significantly better than last year's offense. The defense overall should be better as well. Simply due to the fact that K'lavon Chaisson returns. So our biggest weakness from last season, which was the pass rush, should be rectified. With the favorable schedule relative to last season, I think we have a very good chance to make the playoffs this season. Let's hope we do.

Difference is it’s actually true with Orgeron. Playcalling was far from perfect, but definitely got a little more creative in the passing game.
