I’ll never understand why our fans bash him

Because we saw him play last season. I will never understand why some of our fans did not see how slow TJ is to make decisions, how he throws behind/high/low to our receivers. How some of our fans can watch TJ not read a defense and hold the damn ball too long. How some of our fans can watch TJ not step up in a pocket and instead take a sack. Hell I would like to know why some of our fans can watch Max Johnson lead LSU to 2 straight wins after watching TJ struggle in several games yet still not hive Max credit even though he obviously outplayed TJ on the damn field. I would like to know why stating an opinion based on TJ’s play is supposedly racist according to some stupid tick turds. Oh I understand now. TJ is black and above criticism. That must be why his Mom put a stupid comment on Twitter about TJ going somewhere he might be “appreciated” like Justin Fields had to do. Or, maybe TJ is just “misunderstood” like the Twitter message he put out last year. Hey maybe just maybe we have other QBs who are better than TJ.

rob62- All of that crap you wrote about the kid is totally just that, crap. TJ Finley is or was a true frosh last season that played well in his first 2 starts against SEC schools right out the gate, I saw him step up in the pocket and all. He was impressive in those games, but then the kid goes up against the next 2 SEC teams Auburn and Texas A&M, both really good teams at the time, and they make him look like the true frosh that he was, especially, with how they beat the OLine like a drum. If Andrew Johnson had started against these 2 teams they would have made him look the same. SMH Then Orgeron jumps up this kid's arse for making a mistake in throwing that INT deep inside the 10 I think as if he were chewing out an experienced vet QB like Joe Burrow. It could have really ruined or shaken this kid's confidence, but thank god he handled it extremely well and has since learned from his mistakes. My hat is off to the kid no matter his damn color, I just want LSU to win no matter the QB. But if you don't think this kid is being criticized because of his color on this site, then you're an idiot.

More than likely, all four QB’s on our roster will be drafted. Unreal.

TJ drafted? Based on what? Some of you must be blind.

TJ comes off terrific in that video. Professional with a great attitude. Hopefully all the QBs get time this year so they can keep developing and stay motivated.

Can’t wait to see his transition to TE.

Kid has the best arm of all the QB's, ain't no way in hell he'll be a TE.

Here we go with the “strong arm” crap again. TJ is by far the most inaccurate of the QBs. The dude can’t throw a decent crossing route or read a defense. TJ will not step up in the pocket and causes receivers to alter routes or come to a stop to catch his passes. Go look at the game winning pass and catch vs Arkansas. Terrible pass to a wide open receiver who made a great catch. Oh yeah TJ has a strong arm. You know Brandon Harris had a strong arm.

He is at best 3 on the depth chart. More than likely 4th. He changes positions or teams

I really like Finley. Really like Johnson as well. Looking forward to this year.

Only 1 Football and only 1 QB will start and it will Brennan or Johnson. This is not a feel good social program and I saw all I needed of TJ Finley in 5 games last season to know he cannot lead LSU to an SEC or national Championship. There can only 1 leader not 2 or 3 just 1.
