Per Saturday Down South:
quote:

On LSU rivalry:
Mullen: I think all of the LSU games I’ve been involved with have been big… the jump pass… there have been some really exciting big games but for our guys, this is why you come to Florida to play in these games.

On Joe Burrow and his comfort level at LSU:
Mullen: They do a good job, they run the ball and that opens up the play-action shots and take advantage of one-on-ones down the field. He’s not turning the ball over, he’s putting them in position to be successful with his checks and calls… he can run but he’s not dynamic.

I love LSU but I agree, dynamic is baker mayfeild, johnny football, kyler murray etc. Joe is a very good runner obviously, but i think it's a bit homer to call him dynamic.

Burrow will show you how “not dynamic” he is on Saturday, Dan.

Think he meant not a Vick, Manzel kinda guy when running the ball is all but would like Burrow to stick a couple in the end zone on them.

I don't think he was trying to slight Joe Burrow with that comment. He was just pointing out that he's not going to blow anyone away with his speed or elusiveness, but he can still hurt you if you don't account for him in the run game.
