Brian Kelly Talks About Giving CB Transfer Denver Harris A Second Chance At LSU

LSU coach Brian Kelly spoke with reporters after practice on Tuesday and was asked about cornerback Denver Harris who transferred from Texas A&M after a rocky freshman season.
The former five-star recruit was suspended twice with the Aggies last year, once for breaking curfew and the other for a locker room incident.
Kelly made it clear he did his due diligence on Harris and thinks the culture at LSU will help him get things turned around. Here's everything he said:

"We did a lot of research," Kelly said. "We did our due diligence in terms of his background, and he had a lot of people speak on his behalf."
"He had a number of interviews with Coach (Matt) House and myself. We felt with the culture we have put together here that, he would make it here because the culture is really strong. He has done well early on, and he has no choice. He has to make it."
"So here's a guy that has been given a second chance. The culture is strong, and he knows that this is his last chance at an SEC opportunity. It was worth the risk, and so far, so good."
