Not too far from Allen and McKinney, each of which had their stadiums fall apart due to shoddy construction. Interesting to see how many years before this one gets the same problem.

Might as well keep riding the fossil fuel money train while you can, Texas

In all seriousness, a lot of school districts have gone to field turf as their stadiums are multi team, and multi sport use. If you have more than of high school you can build one facility and work the schedule out. Also coaches tend to prefer to use stadiums with field turf when the playoffs begin. And if you can rent out your stadium for neutral sight playoff games, you do so. They are a money maker.

Funny seeing this as I just passed by this stadium last week. It was for sure a sight to see, pretty spectacular in person for a high school stadium.

Not uncommon for Texas. Looks similar to the one in The Woodlands, but adds the visitor side press box. Remember, high school head coaches make 100K+, here.

Katy's stadium cost was $70M. $5M more and they could've built a Jimbo.

Love it! A great school district and it’s residents investing in a quality multi-use facility that many students, faculty, and residents can enjoy. But you’re still not McKinney.

Just tells you where the school's priority really is! And do not give us the private donation crap. They can donate to education and the money will go farther!

They probably generate at least a 100k in revenue every game, if not much more. Sorry but mathlete tourneys dont really bring the crowds...

So if someone gives them 10 million and tells them this is for the Ball field only. The school is supposed say “ NO” you have to give to education or not at all..... GTFO here

I think I see the visiting team's band way up on top.

Terrible waste of money. I hope they made the concrete right this time unlike the 40 million dollar Allen H.S. stadium.
