Former Bulldogs RB Nick Chubb Responds To Allegation Of Getting Paid By Georgia

On Monday, a tape surfaced of Georgia high school football coach Rush Propst saying Georgia head coach Kirby Smart and Alabama head coach Nick Saban are paying players using wealthy donors and boosters. One of the claims made, is that Georgia paid former star RB Nick Chubb a total of $180,000, divided into three $60,000 installments, to return for his senior year in 2017. Chubb, who now plays for the Cleveland Browns, responded to these allegations...

Its not really that hard of a concept, is it? If 180k could entice him for a year, why wouldn't multiple millions entice him all the more? I understood his point clearly.

So what is a player that got paid going to say? If they admit it, then they're likely circumventing the IRS as these payments are usually under the table. Also, if they admit to it, that will tarnish their legacy while at their school. No player will admit that they were paid.
