Florida head coach Dan Mullen Addresses Possibility Of Leaving For The NFL
Mark Zerof-USA TODAY Sports
Ahead of tonight’s Cotton Bowl Classic matchup against Oklahoma, Florida head coach Dan Mullen was asked about his potential NFL future...
quote:

“It’s not something I’ve thought about,” Mullen said Tuesday, per the Orlando Sentinel. “If it’s something as opportunities present themselves — like everything in the world — you take things as they come and you visit them and you reflect at where you are in your life. Very much like we have a lot of players that are deciding to move onto the NFL.

“With those guys it’s, ‘Hey, make sure you make great decisions, reflect upon what’s best for you and your life and your situation and where you’re at. You make a decision that’s best for you and your family in everything.’”

As a Georgia fan, Florida sucks at recruiting and never steals any of our targets. But on the other hand he's a good coach and he actually beat us for the first time this year.

Yeah, LSU is 2-1 against him since he’s been at UF but I’d still love for him to leave. He’s a damn good coach.

He coaches in Gainesville. His wife is on record saying that she hates Gainesville. I wonder if a move to the pros would restore her gusto in the budoir?

The transfer portal and pending pay-to-play model have diminished the advantages of coaching CFB.

Can’t blame the guy, I wouldn’t want to have to deal with a lot of 18-22 year old prima donnas. The recruiting would be heinous to deal with. Some are better than others at it, I get it.

If Mullen goes to NFL, he will have a wide awakening. They won't put up with his chicken shite antics. Neither the players or opposing coaches.
