Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn announced Tuesday that backup cornerback John Broussard has left the team "to pursue other things."

Broussard, a junior from Phenix City, AL, did not play in the Tigers week 1 win over Washington and had eight tackles in 16 games in his first two seasons. Per AL.com:

Auburn is losing depth at cornerback.

John Broussard Jr., a 5-foot-11, 181-pound junior, is leaving the program.

"John Broussard has left the team to pursue other things," Auburn coach Gus Malzahn announced Tuesday.
