Alabama offensive coordinator Mike Locksley is expected to interview for the head coaching job at Maryland sometime after the SEC Championship, according to AL.com.

Locksley was the offensive coordinator and quarterback coach at Maryland from 2012-2015 and served as the interim head coach in 2015 after Randy Edsall was terminated. He has been on Alabama's staff since 2016.

It’s still early in the process, though, and Maryland officials also have an interest in some other coaches such as Cincinnati’s Luke Fickell, according to sources.

The 48-year old Locksley is a Washington, D.C. native who has had two separate stints with the Terrapins, including as the team’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach from 2012 to 2015.
