I guess beating Vanderbilt, Missouri, Mississippi state, Kentucky, Bo Pelini’s defense, Arkansas is some kind of badass accomplishment. Not to mention ole miss and Tennessee Not very impressive. None of those teams were close to being ranked.

It also shows that LSU is on their minds and how pissed they are at the season LSU had and won the NC. It almost seems they are programmed by their coach to stay ahead of his old team and come back for him to win a NC and say it was really for them and not for him. Now they won a NC going away and want to claim they are the best ever. Kind of makes me think that quote came directly from Saban and not from the QB.

I have no issues with the guy being proud of what his team accomplished and making that claim. That's what the players should feel like. However, I think when rational people analyze the greatest seasons ever, nobody from covid2020 is making the list.

Played an all sec schedule when the majority of the conference was pretty awful. There best conference wins were aTm (who barely beat us) and Florida (who lost to a depleted LSU team). Then beat a Ohio state team that only played 7 games and had serval starters out in the title game. But whatever helps you sleep at night Mac.

He forgets that the 2019 LSU team beat the 2020 Alabama team. So did Auburn. This is the same team they fielded in 2019. Minus a few NFL rookies.
