Is Nick Saban Retiring?
© Mark Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports
If you're an Alabama fan, I think it's safe to say you can rest easy knowing head coach Nick Saban won't be retiring in the near future. Per 247Sports...
quote:

“I really enjoy what I’m doing, I really do,” Saban told Finebaum. “I love the players. I love the relationships you have with players. I like being part of a team. I keep looking at the next challenges and to me those challenges come each year in trying to rebuild our team — losses that you have, guys going out early for the draft. I’m excited about being able to do this.
When do you think he will?

15 years, he’s a young at heart. He may coach until his 80s and shitting himself on the sideline like joe paterno, minus the little boys.

I call bullshite on the challenge of "guys going out early for the draft". Nothing pisses the midget off more than a guy leaving early.

I want him to hang around too long so LSU can start returning the favor and pounding on Alabama while Saban is still there. He lives to beat LSU. We’re the team he goes sleepless for two weeks to prepare for every damn year

The guy coached there, LSU is still a small part of him. He won't stop attempting to shove their faces in the dirt. If it consumes him, any further, it might become a bad thing.

When he starts losing multiple players every year to the stupid damn transfer portal he'll think more about it

He lives to work and probably believes (like Bear Bryant) that he will die as soon as he retires.

Legend has it LSU something to do with that. Not saying I want Nick to die, just saying I’d like to beat him before he does.

whenever he passes Bryant's 6 titles at Alabama. Probably has 5-6 more years left.

He won't seriously consider it until one of his disciples finally beats him handily. I hope Kirby's the one to do it.

The dude is a recruiting/media genius. He spins and manipulates the media to help his position. It’s the old “4-5 years from retirement” schtick. Same with the “challenge to rebuild every year”, telling every new recruit coming in that they have a chance to see the field (it helps being a 4 or 5 star stud too)

His history clearly shows that, if he says he is staying and to stop asking him about it, he gone.

He’s been true to his word way more times than not when it comes to that. “History clearly shows” this is the exception, not the rule.

He will never hint about nearing retirement. It’s part of his process. When he retires, it will be sudden.

Dude is going to have to die or develop a debilitating health issue. Otherwise I think Saban coaches til he croaks.

It will be like the Bear. When LSU starts to beat Bama, he’ll retire and then die.

Bear won 11 in a row vs LSU before that one loss. I’ll take it.

I guess he feels the worst is over now that he can use his hip as an excuse not to have to do the Cupid Shuffle on the recruiting trail anymore.

I don't wish any I'll on the guy, but I wish he would get really bad diarrhea every fall... the kind that makes you stay near a toilet st all times.
