Isn't United Way number one as far as not using the funds for their intended purpose? I think they siphon off 90-something percent.

They have an 85-89 efficiency rating, depending on the source. That's pretty high. They had issues in the past, but not currently.

Each state's United Way is a different organization. UW of Alabama is probably one of the best at utilizing the funds. I work for a company that requires compulsory giving to UW. Never liked that policy but I've looked into the organization enough to know it is well run.

as a fellow Auburn fan, I have to agree with DD - why even make a negative comment about this? why the frick cares if he posted a vid on it - at least he is trying to help people, which right now a lot need it. put aside fan rivalries and give the guy credit for being willing to help.

Perhaps the United way asked Coach Saban to announce in the hopes it could encourage others to donate?

Dislike Nick, but I can’t dislike this. Good on you, coach/Mrs. Terry.

Headquartered in New York City and founded in 1999, Smile Train provides free corrective cleft surgery in 87 countries, training local doctors and providing hospital funding for the procedures."
