I hope this guy gets a second chance. Durkin wasn't even there when this happened. Not to mention it was a freak accident.

Saban said, "we are studying how to kill bad players to clear room for more recruits." Nick thinks of everything.

Fact Checker Paul Finebaum is an a hole. Can't even get the Durkin Donut story correct.

why bring him in to observe if he won't ever be hired anywhere else again?

Virtue signaling snowflakes. If the man is responsible for the kids death, charge him. Otherwise, find something else to be distraught and offended over.

If I'm Saban I don't say a got dam thing. I owe no one an explanation for anything. Let billboards go up everywhere.

I am not a fan of Ala or Saban, but I am a business teacher. I would not hire DJ due to the known controversy ;howevr, it is my duty when in charge to do the best for my firm (team); therefore, if I need to bring DJ in to pick his brain as it were, I would do it. I do not know all of the details of his case, but everyone deserves a second chance at starting over. Obviously he is FREE and walking around so there must not be a legal issue. I am not GOD, so I can not judge him on the moral side.

The only thing Durka Durkin has done on a football field that Saban has not is be responsible for a program that let a young man die...

Of lesser importance but according to the statement you have it backward. DJ isn't there for them to pick his brain. He is there to observe Alabama's operations (like many others have done in the past).

That sounds like complete horse shite.Lol. Not that I care. I would have no issue hiring that guy from an x's and o's standpoint. He would have no other responsibilities. Just my opinion. It's not like he's being hired as a leader of men or anything there. But come on Nick. Nobody is buying that bull shite statement.

Hey folks, he’s just hanging out. He’s not a paid coach in any capacity. Move along and chill out.

still, it would make me feel better to know he's just visiting and watching, and that the University of Alabama has not so much as bought him lunch.

After Kiffin & Sark you question Saban and his success? “I always look at it as a challenge and an opportunity to add new energy, new enthusiasm, new ideas to your staff.” “The combination of what Mike (Locksley) has done in the past being a spread guy, and having Brian (Daboll) here last year, who basically gave us the New England Patriots passing game. The combination of those two things is really, really effective.”

If you’re not doing everything possible to get better and catch Alabama – changing coaches, building immaculate facilities, have your own replay crew (Mond's knee down being shown over and over on the Big Video Board while O is getting a Gatorade bath), scheduling key non-conference games, teams of analysts, CAI, Catapult GPS – you’re likely losing ground: 29-0 at home.

He must be one killer coach if he's working for TGOAT.
