Four Alabama Players Declare For The NFL Draft

Alabama held a press conference on Friday for running back Josh Jacobs, offensive lineman Jonah Williams, and defensive lineman Quinnen Williams to all announce that they will enter the 2019 NFL Draft.

Not in attendance at the press conference was tight end Irv Smith Jr. who also announced on Friday that he will enter the NFL Draft via Twitter. Per ProFootballTalk:

Jonah Williams is considered one of the top offensive linemen prospects in this year’s draft class while Quinnen Williams is one of several defensive linemen expected to come off the board in the first handful of selections. The Scouting Combine, other workouts and meetings with teams will determine exactly how that shakes out, but neither player should be waiting long to hear his name.

Smith and Jacobs shouldn’t be too far behind them as they also rank near the top of their position groups, although Jacobs may not be the first Alabama back off the board with Damien Harris also in this year’s draft pool.

Actually Bama probably leads the SEC in having NFL ready players come back for their senior season. LSU was by far the most hurt by this trend and we are finally seeing that turn. No matter what you think, Bama wouldn't be Bama without all those players coming back. I think people will finally see how much having these NFL ready juniors coming back help the program. We should be much more improved and veteran team next season. I hope the media down plays it also. I don't mind that 14th rank they gave us now.

Early departures have plagued LSU in past seasons. Now it's Bama's turn. Can't say I'm surprised. Can't say this makes me sad either. Geaux Tigers!

Bryantboyz, you are a dumb frick. See what the so called drunk knew that you didn't: Over the past six years, 32 non-seniors at LSU declared for the draft. That is eight more than the next closest team, Florida State (24). Florida is next at 23 before a jumble of programs round out the top 10: Alabama, Clemson and OhioState (20 each), Southern California (19), Stanford and Notre Dame (15 each) and UCLA (14).
