Alabama offensive coordinator Mike Locksley won the Broyles Award on Tuesday, which is given to the top assistant coach in College Football.

Locksley joined Alabama's staff in 2016 as an offensive analyst and was promoted to co-OC and wide receiver coach in 2017. He served as full-time OC this past season, guiding to Crimson Tide to perfect 13-0 record.

Many believe Locksley could be the top candidate for the Maryland head coaching vacancy as the Washington, D.C. native was the Terrapins OC/QB coach from 2012–2015 and was named interim head coach on October 11, 2015, after Randy Edsall was terminated.
