Alabama Defensive Lineman O.J. Smith Is Transferring

Alabama redshirt sophomore defensive lineman O.J. Smith announced Wednesday morning on social media that he is transferring out of the program.

The Bossier City, La. native redshirted in 2014 and has only played in two games since the 2015 season. He came to Alabama as a four-stat prospect.

Saban knows when a player will never contribute and wanted his Scholly for someone else. It is a sad but true reality in NCAA Footbal. But yeah, Saban LOVES HIS PLAYERS!

Eddie Lacy had major issues out of High School, including on being way below the 2.5 needed to get into college. Alabama pulled a rabbit out of the hat to get him eligible.

Of all the prospects that have left Louisiana for Alabama the Safety with the LSU mother Cam Robinson and Tim Williams (and he was not every down guy) are the only ones that have done anything. Cam Robinson is the only one I see that we lost out on.

I don't get the snobbery of South Louisiana, but it doesn't help with recruiting North Louisiana. Some of you should check yourselves.
