If they hit on these evals and these guys are all solid contributors with a few high performers, it could be pretty good next year

Worst case it’s a bunch of depth of experienced players. I don’t want the 12th man starting any games next year.

UAB cornerback BJ Mayes has committed, no idea how good any of these guys are going to be but, you damn sure can't say the staff isn't working their butts off.

Another offensive lineman has committed. Former Kansas OL Ar’maj Reed-Adams. The 6-foot-5, 325-pound standout started 11 games and played left guard and right tackle for the Jayhawks as a junior in 2023. Played HS ball in DeSoto.

Texas A&M has one of the more experience offensive lines in the country. When including their two transfer additions, the Aggies have 10 offensive linemen who have started multiple games. They have made 155 career starts combined. This group has a lot of options.

Stanford RB E.J. Smith has commented.

Another commit tonight. No need yet.

Experience doesn't mean shite if they've sucked their entire career. Steve Adazzio was straight up negligent with the product he put out on the field.

Yes and no. The 2020 line was full of guys who weren't special on their own and didn't have a world of success, but together they developed over their time at A&M.

So the last mystery commit from the weekend is Elijah Alston DE from Marshall

Bowling Green OLB Cashius Howell has committed.
During his career with the Falcons, Howell logged time in 30 games. In 2021, he only saw action in four games, meaning he's eligible to take a redshirt that season and would have two years remaining in Aggieland. He tallied 56 total tackles, 13 tackles-for-loss and 11.5 sacks. He also forced and recovered a fumble.
The vast majority of Howell's production came in the 2022 and 2023 campaigns. His contributions last fall were enough for him to earn Third Team All-MAC honors.
It'll be interesting to see where he fits in Jay Bateman's defense as his skillset could feature as either an off the ball linebacker or a line of scrimmage edge rusher.

OL Dorian Hinton from Florida Atlantic

Dorian Hinton OG from Florida Atlantic committed. This gets us to 85 by my count. I'm fine going as high as 90 as we will have transfer outs in the spring anyway.
