Well, Andrew Monaco, Mark Welsh, Ross Bjork, and Mike Elko all spoke at it.

Contract terms released.
7 million base through 2030
1 million for making CFP
1.5 for advancing to to quarterfinals or winning sec championship
2 for making the semifinals
2.5 for making the final
3.5 for winning it all
Some small stuff for winning sec coach of the year, sec champ appearance, etc.
11 million dollar pool for assistants
75% buyout if fired with no cause, 80% if there are three years or less left on the contract. 6.5 million owed if he leaves early which slowly declines over the term of the contract.

I’m not sure I buy the full narrative that stoops was a done deal, I’m more apt to believe that he was on a very, very very short list of two or three people and it leaked out or he leaked it out, thinking that he was getting the job And that created the fire storm, but I guess we’ll never know the full truth

I don’t buy the Stoops shite at all. We weren’t going to do a $9M+ a year deal for him for starters. If there is any truth to the Stoops stuff he should/will get fired.
The way I feel about Bjork has nothing to do with the coaching search TBH. It was about the extension and guaranteed buyout of Jimbo for me.

In hindsight, it seems like a terrible mistake, but he just had a great season where he kicked butt and there’s no denying that A&M had a great argument to be in the playoffs and might’ve won all that year. Had they made it in there.

I’m leaning more and more towards stoops jumped The gun said something to the wrong person, and it snowballed from there.

I have no issue with Ross, I think he was in a real lose lose situation with that extension. If he doesn’t extend him and basically give Jimbo everything he wanted and he walks to LSU Ross is out of a job and universally hated. Unfortunately the worst case scenario happened and Jimbo blew it here. I don’t completely fault Ross for that situation and tbh he seems to have learned from the mistake. This new contract is much more favorable

My issue with Ross is that he embarrassed us when Texas joined the SEC. The dude got caught flat footed and his responses just made us look like we were helpless.
Regardless, I never truly liked how he left Ole Miss. He allowed the NCAA to come in and gut the program. Then he hired Matt Luke before we gave him a life raft.
It's time to move on. Even Bill Byrne was a better AD than Bjork at this point. Fire him or tell him to find a new job.
