Honest question. If a NC winning coach couldn't get it done at A&M, what makes you think a basketball school coach can?

Every new hire is a risk. We took a guy who coached at a basketball school which is a risk. You guys rolled the dice on an alcoholic and it has worked out so far. 99% of new coaches are a risk of one type or another. Hopefully it works out for us but who knows.

Won’t matter. When mods say, “no trolling thr recruiting board,” what they mean is, “no trolling the recruiting board unless you’re trolling A&M.”

Texas hired a twice-fired rehabilitation project in Sark, and he has proven pretty effective. You never know what works with foresight.

the list of coaches who made their bones at a basketball school is long, including texas best coach the last 50 years. what an awful attempt at throwing shade.

Mathews isnt a huge loss. In fact, we wont feel it. Transfering as he knows he is a 3rd stringer most likely and kid doesnt want to compete. Feel all these kids who dont want to fight and work for a starting position can ALL GO TO THE PORTAL.

You now have a better coach than Jimbo. Aggy isn't suddenly going to disappear on the recruiting map. It would be something though if Aggy changed conferences again.
