Have seen some talk out there about FSU coming into the SEC, but replacing Auburn as a member.
I wouldn't have a problem with it, but still, this is over the cliff a bit.

Yeah, the SEC is going to kick out a founding member in order to add a program that turned them down before. Makes sense

Its not gonna happen but ousting auburn out of the SEC would be the best thing ever. I'd take South AL or Memphis over them.

Auburn has by far the most tolerable fans in the SEC outside of schools like Vandy, Mizzou, South Carolina, etc… places where you can’t win anything.

Trading a rodeo for a circus. Worth considering.

There are some legs to this per a couple sources I know. SEC can’t just kick out a member unless said member breaks some conference bylaws from what I understand. But a school can ask to leave and the conference can approve it.
1. Sankey and many other SEC university presidents have a bad taste in their mouth about AU hiring Freeze. Auburn apparently got a lot of heat from that and has been shunned/ignored in many meetings on the inner workings/behind the scenes stuff
2. Auburn boosters and university staff are unhappy with the SEC as a whole. They don’t like the new scheduling format, and they see the blatant favoritism for rival Alabama when it comes to refs and playoff bias.
3. AU would owe a lot of money if they chose to leave. From what I understand, they’re putting feelers out to FSU to try to work out a swap that AU doesn’t have to pay that money to the SEC and FSU doesn’t have to pay their huge sum to ACC. They’ll just swap places. Both conferences would have to approve it, and that’s the hurdle. AU would keep their rivalry with Georgia and Bama as an OOC game if they agree to use a “neutral” ref crew from another conference.
4. Auburn sees the ACC as an easier path to the playoffs because without FSU it’s a weak conference. AU doesn’t have the financial prowess to compete in the NIL era with the likes of UGA, Alabama, Florida, etc.

I'd go with any plan as long as Bama never had to play them again.

Response threat because you’re scared of Kirby leaving is pathetic

I can’t stand Auburn but they are charter members of the SEC. They belong. If the SEC is determined to add more teams they can do better than a bunch of whiney FSU losers who threw a temper tantrum and left when things didn’t go their way.

Alabama passed a law after WWII that Auburn has to play Alabama annually, so unless that’s off the books now, it would be an unlawful for them not to play.

I'd like to see the actual statutory citation for that law.
Edit to add:
I Googled it, and all I found was a Wiki article stating that the AL House passed a resolution that the two teams should play. This is not a law. The AL Senate never voted on it, and it never went to the governor.
Per the article, the legislature did threaten to withhold funding if the rivalry wasn't renewed, but it was never passed into law.
I'm not trying to pick on you. I've just heard/read the same thing about several other rivalries.
