On a personal note, not SEC baseball related, the damn Mavericks and the damn Stars both lost last night.

But this morning I took a look at the MLB standings and the world seem to be put back right.

AL WEST
1. Texas Rangers 21-16
2. Seattle Mariners 20-16
3. Oakland Athletics 17-20
4. Los Angeles Angels 13-23
5 Houston Astros 12-23

LSU keeps us watching.
Started 3-12 and now 9-15. Still got plenty of work to do to see the post season, but they've kept us intrigued

Would be a great story if they could make the post season.

Looking like a repeat of 2022 season for LSU. Good job getting off the mat.

2021 but yeah very similar. We’ll see if they can finish strong and sneak in

The Rays sucked (5 game winning streak with the city connects though ) and the Lightning got eliminated by the damn panthers AGAIN

Things are looking up for the Rays though!

The Stars ran out of gas last night which was caused from the 7 game series with Vegas. They jumped all over the Avs but were clearly the slower team after the 1st period. Hopefully we can rebound. Not sure what to make of the Mavs. They started slow and lost the 1st game vs the Clippers, but OK City is way better than the Clips.

Rangers catching fire at the plate finally. Just wish Langford was not on IL. He needs a hot streak.

Big win for your Gators last night. Any chance they find someone to play a non-conference game next week to give them some margin for error?

Georgia is barely over 500 in sec play.
There's not that much to jinx.

This would be a juicy regional.. super regional..

They have Kentucky as the #1 overall.

Feel good since games would be In Fayetteville. Hopefully they focus on batting practice since no more mid week games. Hogs should win when smith is on the mound and the team does play better overall at home. Especially since they will have a regional super regional Baum crowd behind them. Tough tough matchups though

i’m sure those won’t be the matchups..

but St. John’s has a pretty good pitcher.. and we can’t beat Smith..

If I am Pierce, I know Texas is probably going 1-1 in the 1st 2 games.. I plan my pitching accordingly to have the best arms available to pitch the last 3 games.. which all have to be won..

I’m sure he won’t do that, but that regional is winnable if Smith is already spent..
