What gives on the Louisiana politicians voting to ban the use of any products with any THC

In them?
I’m assuming products like Delta 8 and Delta 9 and so on won’t be allowed for sale in the state anymore.
So what gives? The only assumption I can make outside of the BS excuse given by them, is they are being bought(typical of LA politics) by Big Pharma and being asked to vote against its use.
Where one weak state lives another will follow is the problem making it more difficult.
Sometimes it’s seems everyone goes one step forward, and Louisiana goes 2 steps back.
All I can think is Big Pharma can see that with these products on the market the need for other meds( they sell )goes down and now they have taken notice.
Probably using AI generated statistical study on the last few years it’s been legal.
Who else has an opinion on this crap.

I give this rant a 4.20 out of 10. At least it’s better than the other one a few threads above.

Douche bag politicians. We finally get a "legal version of weed" and the politicians want to frick it up. How about you mind your own fricking business and go after all the people selling fentanyl. If Republicans are this fcking retarded. I will vote Democrat next cycle just to knock em off their high horse.

So they can take care of their cronies that own the medical cannabis pharmacies and make everyone pay to get their medical cannabis cards and feed the system by not having any 3rd party suppliers

It's turning New Orleans into even more of a shithole.
Maybe that's the reason.

North LA bible thumpers and the cop/prison lobbies are holding Louisiana down so much. And they’ll never break free, sadly, because the electorate is too dumb and uneducated.

Protectionism for the in-state investors and owners of Louisiana Medical Cannabis products and dispensaries. The Delta 8 and outside companies that just mail things to peoples houses has to cut into their market some.

the ledge also passed a bill to take away the growing from LSU and Southern and put in the hands of the 2 private growers in this state. one is owned by Lane Grisgby and the other by Bollinger , 2 of the richest men in this state. what Landry and his cronies did was cripple a 40 million dollar industry

Maybe they are cornering the market like the flavored nicotine vaporizers.
Once they get ready to go to market with their products, they'll be the only ones that qualify.

Act 414, passed during the 2023 regular legislative session, bans businesses from selling nicotine vapes or other alternative vape products that are not listed on the state's V.A.P.E Directory, which is managed by the ATC. Products on the list must have a marketing order from the Food & Drug Administration or meet one of several narrow exceptions.
