Yep, this seems like a lot of “hoopla” over nothing. But I’m not surprised as that’s what passes for journalism these days, print an attention grabbing headline with little facts just to drive clicks. Take a look at Texas scorecard's website and get back to me on how legitimate of a news source they appear to be.

The Biden administration is trying to reverse a bunch of Trump executive orders on the way out of the door, early enough so that Congress can't override it with a simple majority vote next January. This includes the changes to Title IX rules that Trump implemented requiring due process in sexual harrassment/assault claims. Biden is trying to turn back the clock to when these were star chamber proceedings.
I'm sure there are a few lunatic progressive bureaucrats at every school who are all for that, but I suspect the decision makers are going to take their time and hope that they don't have to actually confront the issue. The threat from the feds is, do it our way or lose your federal funding, so it's hard to totally ignore it.
