In your opinion, historical and traditionally, who are the 3 greatest football programs not in the SEC or B1G excluding notre dame?

Prestige, brand, winning, titles, should all be considered

Oklahoma
Southern Cal
Nebraska
Texas
Penn State

In that order.

None of those teams belong in their current conference except, maybe, Penn State.

Of all time?

Florida State, Miami, and I guess Clemson? Perhaps Georgia Tech?

Who do I think are the biggest or most attractive programs?

Florida State, North Carolina, and flip a coin between Clemson/Virginia Tech/Georgia Tech.

doesn't matter if they don't belong. they are in the B1G/SEC and thus don't qualify for this thread

what is attractive about georgia tech? yes they're in atlanta but what serious football player really wants to do that kind of homework? the Calvin Johnsons of the world are few and far between

1. USC

11 national titles.....Trojans lead the head-to-head series vs. every top 10 winningest programs of all time except two (Notre Dame and Alabama), more than any other program ranked in the top 10.....greatest fight song in the country, being the only college fight song used in WWII to rally the troops to victory in the Pacific Theatre....have won more Rose Bowl games than any other program.....have had more movie stars play for the Trojans than any other program....Trojan Marching Band has won more Grammy Awards than any other college marching band.....USC Song Girls are the greatest -- and most glamorous -- college cheering group in the nation! NEED I SAY MORE???? I could, but I won't. :)

2. Notre Shame -- but, we're not counting them.

3. Michigan
4. Ohio State

Edit: Ohhhhh....NOT in the Big 10. Okeedokey............

Wow, this is pretty hard.......

I'll go with.......

1. Clemson, Florida State, Miami
