The ball was throw 3 feet off target pulling him into the path of the runner. Wtf are you talking about.

If the throw was only three feet from the base and Jones placed his right foot on the inside corner of the base then he clearly should have been able to stretch and catch the throw or at worse slide less than a foot to his left and make the catch off the base but preventing the winning run. He doesn't enter the base path and catches the ball before it ever enters into the base . He couldn't do that because what would have been his lead left foot was jammed awkwardly against the bag.
