Considering Miss State had an ear piece fall out of one of their hitter's ears when we played them at their place... that seems pretty obvious to me HOW they're doing it. I don't remember off hand, but we do at times call our pitches without PitchCom. It doesn't always function correctly. State also seemed to know exactly what was coming in that series against us. 2 huge home runs... 1 was on a pretty well executed slider well below the zone, and another was on a fast ball well off the plate outside. Neither were cheap HRs either.

Schloss said the cheating team had a split like .306 and .206. I did the math.
You need to redo that then...

Since then Arkansas splits have changed to .282 at home and .199 away.
Arkansas is hitting .298 at home and .210 on the road overall
When you take all G5 teams out of the equation, which makes up the highest home BA's all season...Arkansas is hitting .259 against SEC opponents plus against Texas Tech.
The Arkansas away from home batting average is heavily skewed by the tournament in Arlington and extra inning game against Oklahoma State, in which Arkansas had 52 official at bats. Taking that weekend out of the equation, and Arkansas is hitting .222 away from home in 10 games.

you just have to keep explaining it to them... over and over.
I would be shocked , if it were DVH...
But, whatever...

And if someone wants to go back to April 6th, the Arkansas splits against SEC competition and road games would be...
Home .267
Road .204

I agree with you somewhat on the batting average.. but the OPS is a lot higher for Arkansas at home.. almost 300 points on the season.. and 200 points in SEC play..
Again, this doesn't prove anything one way or another, but that is a very large difference.. yesterday, I had ruled Arkansas out.. today, I'm back to thinking it might be a possibility..
At the end of the day, it seems pretty stupid for a team to cheat like this when the ultimate goal is to win in Omaha.. if a coach is teaching his team to cheat at home, how is that team going to respond on the road or in Omaha? likely not real good..
That leads me to believe it might be a team that is desperate for some results before a coaching change is made.. fill in the blanks for who that team might be, but with that theory, that team wouldn't be Arkansas

You want it to be Arkansas so bad. Unfortunately, it isnt.
And yes, your numbers are incorrect for overall averages for Arkansas. As I have already posted in this thread.

I believe his numbers are correct as of April 7th..
Arkansas was hitting .306 at home and .204 on the road
But that doesn't mean it was them..
I'm going to run the numbers for Vandy and State as well..

I would guess it’s a team we already played or will not still play this year. Don’t see him throwing out that one about the three teams we have left on the schedule.

The biggest thing with this would be, how do you take advantage of such a thing?
No matter who the team may be...
Arkansas has fully gone to the electronic use of signals this year. This goes for pitchers, catchers, and base running. I would assume most other teams have as well? Wrist watch type of items and also the pitch com devices. In years past, the catcher had an ear piece but Arkansas does not even use that any longer.
I do not know what all other teams use, but I do not recall seeing a single team this season at Arkansas using any type of hand signals for bases, pitches, etc. I believe the only time I have seen any use of hand signals has been when the catcher addresses the entire defense when their may be a situational moment coming up (if that makes sense).
So then that leads me to my next question...Is there anyone in the league that uses audio devices? I do not know what the time sequence is with pitch com or the watch item from the signal coming from the dugout...but you would think it would not be instantaneously. Which to me would mean that a team that would use an audio device would be able to get information over much quicker? I dunno...just a thought.
Then we have the issue about how vague Schloss was with his comment...Is he talking about a video feed into the visitors dugout? Is he talking about track man? Is he talking about an audio feed? Is he talking about an Ipad in the home dugout (MLB uses Microsoft tablets)?
Too many questions, not enough answers.

Also note...Arkansas has 93 hits away from home this season (93/443)...Teams played away from home are...
Oregon State, Oklahoma State, Michigan, Auburn, Alabama, South Carolina, and UAPB.

All the people accusing Arkansas (A&M) better get used to losing the series!

Just admit it, DVH is a better coach than average Jay Johnson.

All valid points. I believe I read that Schloss is still calling pitches and not using PitchCom, so if they are the only one, perhaps it is a team they already played.
Assuming that all teams are using PitchCom, how would a live feed help an opposing team?
Perhaps the catcher is providing a tell based on his setup?
Maybe one knee is lower on breaking balls?
Maybe they looking at an inside/outside setup?
This one usually happens late, so idk if that would really help.
Maybe they are looking at the pitcher's grip?
This is a strong possibility.
Maybe they are studying a pitcher looking for tells?
The shortstop or centerfielder or anyone else who is getting the PitchCom data would also be someone to potentially watch.
If I have learned anything about baseball in all of my years playing and watching, teams are constantly looking for an edge in some way shape or form. If there is an advantage out there to gain, you can bet someone is trying to figure out how to use it to their advantage.

Again…think of how quickly all of this would have to be relayed to the batter. Again that leads me to some type of audio communication.

Yea, even high/low pitches. Catchers will move their glove up/down/out/in just to fool with batter.

But I would think this could be done from press box or somewhere else.
If guess I’ve never just paid attention to dugouts…but I only regularly go to Baum Stadium. So peaking for our staff, they’re standing at the top of the dugout the entire game. Pitching staff usually has a clipboard tracking pitches. Then when the Hogs are hitting, the hitting coach is coaching third.
I dunno…just thinking how a team could pull something off.

Absolutely, having coached 20 more years in the SEC than Jay the national championships in Arkansas's trophy case prove this.
