No HOA in historic neighborhoods. There’s a neighborhood association but that’s entirely voluntary and is, if i recall, $25 a year.

This is a weird one in that they tore down an old house and built this new one in a nice old neighborhood.

It was a post 1980's thing where they tore down the house, split the lot in two. Built that house with the intent of building a 2nd house after that one sold. It was on the market forever. Then Cal bought it and wound up buying the 2nd lot and putting it back together.
