re: SEC legend, former Alabama QB Steve Sloan has passed away at the age of 79

I am late to this conversation, and I echo all the gracious comments about Steve Sloan. I was a student at Alabama at the time and remember how highly regarded he was, both as a player and student leader. He also excelled in academics and was a member of the prestigious Jasons, a highly selective men's honors society. By the way, the Jasons still exists but is no longer officially recognized the University because it ran afoul of Title IX.
