His hobbies don't change the fact that he satisfied the 10 years of service and payments required for loan forgiveness. I'm less than a year out for ~200k of forgiveness.

Another POS. It's not forgiveness you idiot. Somebody else is paying it. Hope you lose whatever assets you have accumulated.

We may just disagree on the word, but how is this not forgiveness?

The federal government loans money; the federal government later says that money no longer need to be paid back.

How is that not debt forgiveness?
