Nothing booked yet, but looking at it for a short family getaway within an hour drive. Reviews? Do's? Don'ts?

I held a meeting there a few months ago. The hotel was nice. Apparently a lot of kids activities there in the Summer.

We went last year. It was nice for the kids. I recommend paying the extra add on golf cart. It makes it all a little easier. The food was the biggest surprise. It was actually decent. The water park is above average. Most of the houses have been updated but check the drawers. We love dogs and all but the previous family’s dog shed all over the place. We bitched and they discounted us some money back and re-cleaned the place.

Definitely recommend. Tons of things to do. Kids will have a blast at the water park. Food is actually good around the resort and the few places mentioned within 10 min drive. The pool is quaint and usually have a DJ in the afternoons with poolside bar available. Great shady walking trails too. Also, good golfing if you get to sneak away from 5 hours

I haven't stayed in the resort.
We went during Christmas lights.
It was that bad feeling kind of like at Disney World where everything was costing about 3 times what it should.
It wasn't a bad experience. But way overpriced for the product.

I'm very much enjoying and appreciating everyone's input, exactly why I posted this. I want all information. Please keep it coming.

Not sure if they're doing it again this year, but they banned swimming last year.
