What did I make up?

The median household income in 2022 is $74k

The median home costs $417k

Costs are steadily increasing at a much higher rate than pay is. There’s no denying that. Causing both parents to have to work. Very very few families have just one parent working anymore

The problem is inflation. Your solution is more inflation.

Well that was my argument, this was true 30 years ago. this didnt happen yesterday.

A lot of people in my generation think they should be able to afford their own house or condo at 30.

My parents with 2 incomes were still renting at 30. They didnt buy their first home until I was in middle school.

Yet these single millennials think they should be able to afford a 417k home on one salary?

That wasnt happening before either.

So either you consider $40k per job "high paying," or you were just full of shite with the 2 high paying jobs cliam.
