This is a 100% best for both parties. Kentucky wants him gone but he’s still a top coach/brand in the game. He can immediately rebuild the roster. Kentucky can go get beard or oats or whoever they want.

Kentucky couldn't afford to fire him even if the wanted.
They've ran off every coach since Adolph retired for not winning a NC every other year.
As sleezy as he seems, he must be clean or they would have found it to fire him and avoid the buyout.
