If you lose to Arkansas, you leave it in the committee's hands. Lose the last three series, two of which are to the bottom teams (right or not) in the West. Furthermore, UGA has been on fire since the cheater was exposed in the last game of our series. UGA has been rising, A&M has played less than inspiring ball.

Have to beat Arkansas to show that the last two series were not the normal. UGA is going to take our spot otherwise, and would honestly deserve it.

Tennessee, Kentucky, and probably Arkansas are locks for T8. I would say the fourth SEC slot is between A&M and UGA, or there won't even be a fourth. No way the SEC gets more than four. Zero chance.

Take your maroon glasses off. If A&M loses to Arkansas at home do you really believe that this team gets a T8 seed? 3-6 would be the best case scenario for the last nine games. That is finishing with a whimper after a stellar start.

A&M has a UGA problem. UGA is one game behind A&M in the standings and plays Florida this weekend.

But it’s almost like you cheer and hope for the worst possible outcome

Nope. I just read the tea leaves. This team hasn’t had their head in the game the last few weeks, and whatever seed they get they earned. They blew it at the finish line. Can they recover?

We will see. They are lately reminding me of the 2008 team which never did recover.

I think a double header is actually good for A&M. Focus is more on hitting, and spotty pitching is less of an issue because you can use most of the bullpen on Friday and still be in decent shape on Tues/Wed

Schloss briefly talked about the stadium renovation today.
-Plan on staying in this footprint.
-Limitations going out, but can go up. Mentioned the Sun in RF.
-Wants 12-15 K, but will likely be about 10k (in seats) with lots of SRO (1.5-2k).
-360 degree concourse with drink rail all the way around.
-Most premium seats will be down the LF line (sun to your back).
*The survey that was sent showed double decks all the way down LF*
-It'll all depend on what we can afford.

Conference win #18, still #2 RPI. I think that deals the national bid. I’d like to take the series and maybe play for the final west title on Saturday.

Looks like Warren Nolan was slow to update. We’re now #1 in the RPI.

40+ Win Seasons

1989: 58-7 (Regional Final)
1993: 53-11 (CWS 5th/6th)
1999: 52-18 (CWS 7th/8th)
2015: 50-14 (Supers)
2016: 49-16 (Supers)
2007: 48-19 (Supers)
2011: 47-22 (CWS 7th/8th)
2008: 46-19 (Supers)
1998: 46-20 (Regional Final)
2003: 45-19 (Regional)
1986: 45-23 (Regional)
2022: 44-20 (CWS 3rd/4th)
1995: 44-22-1 (Regional Final)
1987: 44-22-1 (Regional Final)
1990: 44-23 (Regional)
2024: 43-10 (TBD)
1990: 43-17 (no postseason)
2012: 43-18 (Regional)
2010: 43-21-1 (Regional)
2004: 42-22 (Supers)
1992: 41-20 (Regional Final)
1984: 41-21 (Regional)
2017: 41-23 (CWS 7th/8th)
1976: 40-13 (Regional Final)
2018: 40-22 (Regional)

Before 1999, Regional Final = Supers (final 32 teams)

-----

At a minimum, we have 6 games left if we go 0fer in Omaha and Regionals. More than likely we will be playing double-digit games. 50 wins are in play, but 58 would require a strong finish, a decent showing in Hoover, and finally a deep CWS run.
