Just saw an announcement on Twitter that the Mississippi Braves (AA) are relocating to Columbus,GA for the 2025 season.

With that move, all four primary minor league clubs will either be in or just outside the state.
AAA - Gwinnett
AA - Columbus
High A - Rome
A - North Augusta, SC

It was pretty much a fait accompli. It has been known for a few months that they were moving.

This will be a good move.

Columbus is starving for some good baseball instead of going to north Atlanta.

Also plenty of southeastern college talent around… Auburn, fsu, Atlanta, etc.

I like consolidating the Braves MiLB footprint but I'm still surprised.

Very nice stadium they have over there. I remember good attendance when they first moved there from Greenville.

I'm sure they'll drop the Braves nickname after the relocation.
