Just went through this whole process. You have to register any houseboat now. You have to fill out an Affidavit of non-motorized houseboat, get it notarized, then either mail or carry yourself to LDWF and get it registered. Make sure you have pics of all sides of it included and the Affidavit filled out correctly, or it starts all over again.
I asked about when I put a motor on the back. They told me its a another process.
I will upload pics of my build as soon as I get a little time.
